The Holy Sounds Foundation took root several years ago when Mr. and Mrs. Kuanyshev, prominent agricultural industrialists and philanthropists from Kazakhstan and Muslims by faith, visited Jerusalem on business and were inspired by the city's legendary beauty and historic significance. Moved by the desperate need for understanding and tolerance among the three faiths that have called Jerusalem home for more than a millennium , they sought a platform from which to promote understanding. Soon thereafter, they embraced the common language of music to serve as a catalyst that could unite people while recognizing their diversity.
